A Nottingham Wedding...

clock June 20, 2012 15:49 by author Martyn

I forgot to update my blog at the time, but I've been busy shooting weddings, editing shots, watching Euro 2012, and of course spending as much time as I can with our new arrival, Oscar.

Not much to say about this one in the limitted time I have to pop this post up, other than that it was a wonderful event at the magnificent Woodborough Hall, just north of Nottingham - here's a selection of images from Elean and Andrew's special day: Enjoy!

"Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads."

Kinda reminded me of something from Back To The Future...! Almost like the car is hovering, thanks to the front wheels being just out of shot

2.5 Seconds, F6.3, ISO 1600... All on the short driveway at home! Taking away the mystery: Shot with the Rig with the car moving... Who says shots are ALL about loaction?!With limited space, you can still get some great results.

The first 'Rig Shot'

Finally completed my automotive rig a couple of weeks ago. Managed to get out and try it last night, to enjoy the crisp, cold, clear night. (-5C!!)

Kept the rig boom at half it's potential length (~2.5m) to get angle and the crop I wanted for this shot. I can extend it further (to ~5m), to get the whole car in frame on my 24-70, but as it's all new, keeping the length short for it's first trip out allowed me to control the innevitable bounce & bounce in the pole... and make sure that I could trust the suction cups so that I didn't drop 2k's worth of camera onto the tarmac.

Anyway, enough of the chat - here's the pic: Comments appreciated!

I've been reading some information around marketing and social networking recently. As well as finding me on twitter (@Martyn_Lewis), you can also now find me on Facebook - I'll be updating images on there to show some of my latest images. It's a great way to increase exposure, particularly when you can "tag" friends etc... that means that their friends are also informed too. Given that we're meant to be no more than 6 connections away from anybody on the planet... It could turn into a great marketing tool!

Anyway... On you go and take a look: Any "likes, greatly appreciated! :-D
